Matrix Consult were appointed as Employer’s Agent and Cost Consultant for the complete refurbishment and new build works to the existing Great Western House Hotel to transform it into a 75 bed hotel for Malmaison.

Hotel du Vin

Matrix Consult have been appointed as Contract Administrator and Cost Consultant on a number of new developments for Hotel du Vin. The sensitive developments regularly involved working within listed buildings and heritage sites to convert them in to the Hotel du Vin brand with associated bistros, bars, alfresco dining areas and Laroche wine tasting rooms.

The developments involve the complete strip out of the existing buildings with extensive fabric improvements as well as new extensions that are in keeping with the existing buildings. Matrix Consult were appointed contract administrator and cost consultant to the following Hotel du Vin developments: Brighton, Cambridge, Cheltenham, Harrogate, Newcastle, Poole, York.

Pub du Vin

Formally the Sussex Arts Club, in Ship Street Brighton, this project provided many planning and conservation challenges throughout the feasibility and construction stages of the build. Matrix, in their capacity as Project Manager and Cost Consultant, ensured that the extended team of conservation and planning consultants worked closely with their project Architect bringing this development in on time for its December opening.
